Care for Kids - It's What We Do!
Presbyterian Children's Services and Children's Foundation of Mid-America announce their merger - approved by their Boards of Directors.  The new agency will be known as Children's Foundation of Mid-America, Inc.
This merger will strengthen the agency's ability to raise funds, and will simplify program operation while it preserves the agency's legacy with the Presbyterian Church (USA) in the Synod of Mid-America.  All related programs will continue to operate by their familiar names within their service regions.
Each regional progam will operate as a program of Children's Foundation of Mid-America, Inc.; and, will retain and promote existing relationships with donors and churches to improve the conditions for vulnerable children and families in mid-America.  Download an Adobe PDF copy of our 2008 Year in Review.

50% Savings on Missouri Individual and Corporate Income Tax

The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) has awarded $250,000 in NAP tax credits to Presbyterian Children's Services. NAP tax credits provide a 50% credit against state income tax liabilities for businesses who contribute toward helping vulnerable children. Donations received as part of this NAP project will be directed to the acquisition and renovation of a 9,500-squarefoot facility in Springfield, enabling Presbyterian Children’s Services to increase the number of children and families receiving services.

“Investment in our children is an investment in the future of our state,” DED Interim Director Katie Steele Danner said. “This award helps us partner with this service organization in their outreach efforts to aid abused and neglected youth in the Springfield region.”

Businesses can donate cash, materials, supplies or equipment; technical assistance and professional services; labor; real estate; or stocks and bonds. [read more]
