Cindy
When Cindy found her mother dead from a drug overdose, authorities took Cindy and her younger sister into care. Their mother had struggled with her addiction for most of the girl’s lives.
They had suffered so long because their mother had been unable to give the love and care that two young girls need to mature in a healthy manner.
By the time Cindy’s mom died, Cindy herself had begun making poor choices. It wasn’t long after the girls were placed in foster care that authorities felt Cindy needed more help and she came to Children’s Foundation of Mid-America.
In only 6 months time, Cindy became a confident young woman who went on to attend technical school and strike out on her own.
