Advisory Board
Our Regional Girls' Shelter Advisory Board consists of members from the community at large who are dedicated to making the lives of the girls just a little better in several ways.
- Organize and host quarterly outings/events for the girls to provide quality time for Advisory Board members to meet, interact with and mentor residents of Regional Girls' Shelter.
- Organize fund raisers throughout the year to financially support the girls and the RGS program
- Support the individual needs of the girls and provide funding for clothing and recreation.
- Support both property and program needs, and help monitor and maintain the facilities on the property.
The group holds fundraisers such as Fright Night in October and in February the much anticipated Valentine Gala. These events and others help fund the work that the group does for children at Regional Girls' Shelter. The Advisory Board continues to develop relationships in the community to help the children.

Regional Girls' Shelter Advisory Board recently hosted the 7th annual Valentine Gala in Springfield, Missouri.
Jamie Taylor, Development Director for Children's Foundation of Mid-America, Nancy Chappell, Advisory Board President, and RGS Site Director, Leslie Snyder enjoyed the celebration of success of young women at Regional Girls' Shelter.
